Years ago, a friend of mine saved this book for me out of the discard pile from the Iowa City Public Library. It was in worse shape when I received it, and it was one of my first rebacks ever- it was too beautiful to leave in complete disrepair. As I improved my skills, it stayed on my shelf as a growing reminder of how far I had come. This year, Scandinavian Stories was revisited with a stronger hand and a keener eye.

And above is my favorite page in the whole book. A cat sitting on top of a moose. See? This book deserved a binding worthy of its content.
